His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON has used the event of the 2025 Children's Day celebration to reiterate his commitment to building a glorious, safe and prosperous future for Imo children, assuring them that his administration, over the past five years has consistently and deliberately invested in guaranteeing such a future for Imo's children.
Commending them on the need to stay positive and hopeful for a brighter future, despite the harsh economic situation in the world and Nigeria in particular, the governor assured the children of the commitment of his administration to providing necessary safety nets and laying strong foundations to ensure that Imo children thrive, despite the circumstances.
In his message to mark this year’s Children’s Day, Governor Uzodimma assured Nigerian children that both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the country’s governors are working hard to build a future they can be proud of, a future filled with progress, opportunity, and lasting development.
In a statement he personally signed, Governor Uzodimma said the groundwork was being laid for today’s children to one day inherit a prosperous and peaceful nation.
He noted that the economic reforms being carried out by the current administration are meant to strengthen the systems that support Nigeria’s growth especially in building roads, schools, hospitals, and other vital infrastructure.
He added that in Imo State, his administration has begun revitalizing the health and education sectors, two pillars that are essential to helping children grow, learn, and thrive.
“My administration has invested heavily in education and health, two key areas that help children dream big and achieve their goals. I assure you, your future is bright,” he stated.
However, he encouraged Nigerian children to believe in their country and work hard to grow, especially by learning, staying in school, and building useful skills for the future.
He urged them to stay away from bad influences like cultism, theft, and other harmful behaviours that could ruin their future.
Uzodimma also encouraged children to appreciate the sacrifices their parents make by showing them love, respect, and being obedient to their spiritual, educational and moral guidance.
IMO'S FUTURE SHALL BE GLORIOUS!
